Pressure Washing in Belper - Job Analysis
A recent patio cleaning job in Belper produced a better result than expected, with the patio responding exceptionally well to pressure washing alone.
At Wilkinson Property Pro, we regularly carry out pressure washing in Belper and surrounding areas, cleaning patios, driveways, paths and other exterior surfaces. Every surface is assessed before cleaning so that the appropriate equipment and technique can be used.
For this particular customer, the patio was noticeably dirty and had accumulated general grime and black spotting over time. However, once the cleaning began, the results were even better than anticipated.
A dirty patio with an unexpectedly good result
The patio had plenty of dirt and staining that needed removing, and the initial expectation was that some of the black spots would require chemical treatment.
Black spots on patios can be particularly stubborn. Depending on the cause and the type of surface, they can sometimes require a specialist biocidal or chemical treatment rather than being removable through pressure washing alone.
In this case, however, the patio responded exceptionally well to pressure.
The black spotting was removed using pressure alone, producing a significant improvement without the need for additional chemical treatment.
This was a great example of why it is important to assess each patio individually rather than automatically assuming that every stain requires the same cleaning process.
Using a turbo nozzle for the whole patio
For this particular patio, we used a turbo nozzle across the entire surface.
A turbo nozzle produces a concentrated, rotating jet of water that provides considerably more cleaning power than a standard fan nozzle. When used correctly and on a suitable surface, it can make the cleaning process much faster and more effective.
The material of this patio could withstand the pressure being applied, making a turbo nozzle an appropriate choice.
Using the turbo nozzle across the whole patio allowed us to work efficiently while achieving a consistent clean across the surface.
It is important to remember, however, that a turbo nozzle isn't suitable for every surface. Different materials can react very differently to high-pressure cleaning, which is why choosing the correct pressure, nozzle and technique is an important part of professional pressure washing in Belper.
The patio came up better than expected
Once the cleaning was complete, the transformation was significant.
The patio looked considerably cleaner, with the accumulated dirt and black spots removed through pressure washing. What initially looked like a patio that might require additional chemical treatment turned out to respond extremely well to the pressure washing process.
The customer was extremely happy with the result.
For us, this is one of the most rewarding aspects of exterior cleaning. A patio can look tired and heavily soiled before cleaning, but the underlying surface can sometimes be in much better condition than it first appears.
The customer also requested window cleaning
While we were at the property, the customer also asked us to clean all of the house windows.
This was a great opportunity to combine two exterior cleaning services during the same visit, leaving both the patio and windows looking considerably cleaner.
The windows were cleaned as part of the visit, adding to the overall improvement in the property's exterior appearance.
A returning Wilkinson Property Pro customer
This wasn't the first time we had worked for this customer.
They had previously used Wilkinson Property Pro to have their tarmac driveway sealed, so this patio cleaning job was the second service they had requested from us.
We always appreciate customers coming back to use us again. Repeat work is a great indication that customers are happy with both the quality of the work and the service they receive.
In this case, the customer had already trusted us with their tarmac driveway, and they were happy to bring us back to carry out further exterior cleaning.
Professional pressure washing in Belper
This patio clean is a good example of why professional assessment is important when cleaning exterior surfaces.
The patio looked heavily soiled, and the black spots could easily have been assumed to require chemical treatment. Instead, the surface responded extremely well to pressure washing alone.
By selecting the appropriate equipment and using a turbo nozzle that was suitable for the patio material, we were able to clean the entire surface efficiently and achieve a result that exceeded expectations.
